Hi!

I'm trying to export a grid using self-referencing to Excel, but in exported sheet, unwanted hidden column appears, and rows without data display No data message. That cause the sheet looks bad.

Anyone have a suggestion?

And could exported table be formatted such as custom table border, text style, etc.?

Hello Thanh,

Download the attached project - it shows how to remove the unwanted columns when exporting self-referencing hierarchy RadGrid.

Hi Dimo

Thanks for your reply. But this example seems not to be what I'm expecting or you misunderstood what I explained (sorry if my English make you misunderstood, anw :) ). What I mean is in reversed with your example.

I try this demo: http://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/grid/examples/hierarchy/selfreferencing/defaultcs.aspx

and I got my grid like this. And now I want to export this grid to Excel in the same hierarchy. But after exported, some added cells appear that break up all.

I think the reason is that the code behind added a cell for collapse/expand buttons, and exportToExcel show them all as Excel cells.

Could you find a solution for this?

Thanks for your kind help

Hello Thanh,

I'm afraid there is no easy way to export the RadGrid demonstrated on this demo.

By the way, my name is Daniel and not Dimo.

Let me know if you need further assistance.
