On a windows 2008 server, MOSS SP2. Moved site to new server, clean install. Used backup with STSADM command. Used these steps on new server:
OS
MOSS
added SP2
ajax enable
create site
restore with stsadm
add moss rad edit 5.5.1 solution
then on the pages that had previously contained the same version of the webpart 5.5.1, I get an error. Look at the webpart folder and it is not even in the folder. Other webparts are ok, but no Rad Editor

Hi David,
What I suggest you to do is retract and redeploy the solution. Also make sure that you execute iisreset command after you deploy the solution. If you still have problems, you can check if there are any errors in the system log. If so please provide us with them.

Hi David,
If you installed the latest 5.5.1 version you can still use the created with 5.5.0 web parts. Just make sure that you follow steps 3 and 4 from the following help article Upgrading to a newer version of RadEditor for MOSS.

I can see that you can only download trial versions of the controls.
So what you need to do is go to the Free Trials section under your account, click on Older Versions, click on 2009.2 701 link and download the RadEditor for MOSS: (zip, 13 MB) installation.
