Error Creating Control - RadComboBox1

Hi,

Can any one help me out i am getting an error on .aspx (design) when i drag and drop any of the control from rad tool box error is "Could not load file or assembley 'Telerik.web.ui, version=2009.3.1208.35' System cannot find the file specified".

I had also added respected dll file but could not solve the problem.

Hi Ratan Mishra,

Please, check the Telerik.Web.Design article for some more information on the matter. Unless you use Visual Studio 2010, the information there should help.

If you use Visual Studio 2010, please, copy the Telerik.Web.UI assembly to the [Visual Studio Installation Folder]\Common7\IDE\PrivateAssemblies folder. The designers should be available after a restart of the Visual Studio IDE.

Hi Ratan,

I'm afraid this post is a bit old and it might have resulted in a bad advice for you.

Please, check the article: it mentions that copying the assembly to the PrivateAssemblies folder could result in further problems.

From what I see in your screenshot it seems that you are trying to use the .NET 4.0 - specific assembly in Visual Studio 2008. Am I right in my assumption? If that true, the workaround is to use the .NET 3.5 - one instead. The .NET 3.5 assemblies of RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX are located in the BIN35 subfolder of the product deployment folder.
