Hi Ted,
From the above post I suppose you have applied style for the alternating item and set the EnableRowHoverStyle property. I guess the hover style is not getting applied for the alternating rows. I tried the same on my end and it is working as expected. Here is the screenshot of my RadGrid.

Could you please specify the version of the Grid you are using and the Skin that you have set for the Grid. I have used Default Skin for my Grid.

Sorry, I am using a custom Skin. I did copy the custom skin from the Web20 skin. with this project I am also upgrading a grid from a previous version of the controls so it could be a combination of things. I will open a support ticket with Telerik so I can send them my test project and let you know what is causing this.
