Email with Excel as attachment

I have seen a couple threads in here that older versions of Telerik don't allow an email to be sent and attaching the radgrid as an attachment.  Has there been an update that I have missed? 

What I am look for is to view a grid, click a button and send the grid as an email attachment in an excel format.

Hello Michael,

Note that such an inbuilt functionality does not exists in the RadGrid control. Currently you could simply export the RadGrid content to excel and use the exported files as per your needs.

I can already export to excel, but I am trying to save the extra step of the user having to open and save the excel document then open an email and attach the excel document.

I completely understand your point however the required functionality is not part of the inbuilt RadGrid features at the moment. You could log this request in our feedback portal so that other users can vote for it:
