For some reason everything in EI 8 runs a lot slower than other browsers.
For example, when I click on the insert image button the dialog is slow to appear and if I click on that same button again everything freezes.
Are you guys aware of this issue and if so can you point me to a solution?

Hi,
I am not aware of this problem.
Are you able to reproduce it with the Default Example of RadEditor?
Please note that the dialog contents are cached after the first dialog loading and each subsequent load is immediate.
We will provide also lite versions for the Image and Link manager dialogs for Q1 2010, scheduled in March 2010. Both dialogs will be loaded much quickly compared to the current dialogs.
