I installed RadControls 'Prometheus' for ASPNET Q3 2007 1218 with VS2005, it was fine and yesterday i upgraded to Q3 2007 1314 (setup informed me that the upgrade was ok) but in my project it was still 1218 controls.
Then I used RadControls_Prometheus_2007_3_1314_trial_hotfix .
So after some mystic (from your documentation) manipulations it was a success in my project. A tool to upgrade my project is required, hand manipulations are not acceptable at all for professional controls.
And today I added a RadControl to my project from your toolbox, he was trying to overwrite \Bin\Telerik.Web.UI.dll to its previous version !
In toolbox it was still 1218 controls ! really, your setup updated something somewhere ?
For now I am evaluating your controls, they are great but upgrading process is a real nightmare. You must provide a tool for that.

I launched Q3.1314 setup again and did a repair, and it finally updated C:\Program Files\Telerik\RadControls 'Prometheus' for ASPNET Q3 2007\Bin with 1314 dlls !
So :
1) when your setup says that it updated correctly, i still don't know what is updated (only in GAC ?) why files are replaced only after a repair ?
2) a tool must be provided to upgrade a project, specially for big updated like Q2 to Q3

Hi,
The current installer has problems when you select the upgrade option. We recommend that you uninstall the previous version and then perform a clean install of the new release. This way you will ensure that the toolbox, documentation, and examples have all been updated to the latest build.
We are aware of these problems and plan to address them in the next official release (Q1 2008). Our focus for the next release is on making the installer faster and making the upgrade process easier (possibly with a separate tool to upgrade all projects on the computer with the latest binaries.
