It seems you have to select a row in a grid before it can be dragged (to another grid).
This differs from the tree control where it can be click-dragged without having to actually click and release first.

Hi Kevin,
Indeed current version of RadGrid does support dragging without first selecting the item, however if you are using multiple selection feature you should disable the drag-to-select functionality. You may check this online demo for more information.
