[Solved] Document Preview

We are considering adding a feature to our application that provides a thumbnail preview of any documents that might be contained within a specific directory. These documents could be any one of several common types including pdf, rtf, doc, etc. I was wondering what you would suggest would be a good approach. Do you have a thumbnail control of some sort that might work for this purpose? We were considering using the slider control to facilitate browsing.

Hello Tom,

I am not completley sure about your exact requirement and why you need the slider but since you want to show thumbnails for files in a folder I suggets to examine our RadFileExplorer control which is designed for such cases - you can find its demos below:

The control can be configured in different manner and a code librarly which is similar to what you describe is available below:

Yes, this might be a good starting point. I was hoping you might have some sort of generic document viewer that would allow for previewing word docs, PDFs, etc. Anyway, we'll give your suggestion a try.
