I have a Q2 2009 RadControls for ASP.Net AJAX RadTabStrip on a web page with NO multipage. I use the tabstrip strictly as a navigational tool. Below the tabstrip is a div with some plain old text paragraphs that sits in a contentplaceholder from my masterpage. In IE8 compatibility view, when I hover over one of the tabs on the strip, the div containing the text "collapses" and cuts off the content from the bottom. This doesn't occur in IE8 native mode, Firefox, Chrome, Opera or other modern browsers. Any thoughts? This is driving me mad!

Hi Craig,

I think it will be best if you can provide a live URL or open a support ticket and send us a simple running project (incl. your custom skin, CSS, images, DB backup if needed and so on) demonstrating the problem (and step-by-step instructions on doing so). In that way we can reproduce and pinpoint the problems you're facing on our side, understand the logic of your application and provide a solution.

Hi Paul,

Go to a URL on my site such as http://www.sva.com/construction/managing-your-construction-business.aspx. Hover over a tab and the div containing text below it will shrink vertically and cut off content at the bottom of the div. I cannot reproduce this in any browser except IE7 and IE6. IE8 in compatibility mode doesn't do it either. As I said before, I am not using multipages, the tabs are strictly for navigational purposes and link to completely separate pages.

Thanks,
Craig

Hi Craig,

Thanks for the provided URL.

Actually, the problem is not caused by the tabstrip; we think the layout is not quite right. Anyway, you can easily fix the issue by right floating the tabstrip, setting its width to 100% and setting and setting 27px top margin to page-column-center-body DIV.

Best wishes,
Paul

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the reply. I implemented your suggestion and it broke things further, however by creating a CSS class for the tabstrip in my theme, adding it to the .skin file for radtabstrip, and setting the width to 100%, I appear to have solved the issue.

Thanks again,
Craig
