[Solved] Different version from rad controls in the same applciation

Hi All,

I have one application where i use many rad controls. Now i want to use the editor control too, but as i see in that version the editor control has issues. I can't export to PDF, or I can't change the toolbox pictures. In the new version I see so that this issue don't exists anymore. I tried to download the latest version from rad controls and use that dll, but then the other controls are working not. So the best solution would be if I could use for the rad editor the new dll, and for the other controls the old dll. This is possible? Is some opportunity to can get the editor in a separate dll? Can you help me how can I resolve this, or some workaround?

Hi Elod,

Using different versions of RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX in one project is not possible - the controls share the same assembly / DLL file.
Could you please provide more information about the problems that you experienced with the other controls after the upgrade? I believe it will be best if you upgrade the project and send it to us along with detailed description of the problems. If sending the real project is not possible, please isolate the problems in a small sample one and send it to us in a support ticket.

Thanks for your quick reply.
 Ok i will do that. Unfortunately i can't send you the whole application, but i think i can isolate the problems.
 In advance i can tell you, that in general we have layout problems. We made our design base on the old version, so the controls have the same layout, look as the whole application and if i upgrade the controls then some controls have strange, different, incomplete look. So i think the css class are not the same or are structured in other way as we used in the earlier version. So that's why i came with this idea to use different version.

Can I write here the separate problems, or should I use other communication channel?

If you were using pre-Q1 2009 version of the controls, I believe that the following blog posts from Tervel will be of help:
