Using Firefox 3.0.10 on Vista x64.

Go to http://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/editor/examples/filemanagers/defaultcs.aspx.  The dialogs won't open.  Nothing happens.  Any idea?  This also happens with my application.

Hello,

We have not been able to reproduce the problem on our side. We tried using Vista x64 and Firefox 3.0 and 3.5beta and did not see any problems with the editor file manager dialogs.

What exactly happens on your end? Do you see a blank dialog or nothing happens at all when you click the file manager tools on the editor toolbar? Does the problem occur in Internet Explorer? We have had some reports in the past about problems with some firewalls/IPS. The security software did not like the long URL for the editor file dialogs and blocked it. We use the URL to pass parameters to the dialog so this left the user with a blank dialog window.

You can also try disabling the Firefox extensions you have and see if the problem is not coming from one of them.

Hi,

Thanks for your detailed reply.

I did try disabling all my extensions, but it would still happen sometimes.  I just tried it again, but this time I disabled all extensions and manually closed and reopened the browser.  This seems to work - if I click the "Restart Firefox" button in the add-ons dialog, the editor is still broken even after the browser reloads.

I then tried to pinpoint the offending extension - looks like it's Firebug 1.3.3.

Hello,

I am using Firebug 1.3.3 as well, but it does not seem to have an effect over the editor performance. Have you made any specific changes to the plug-in settings (e.g. break on all errors in the script options)? I am sending a screenshot of my plugins page in Firefox 3.0.10.

Kind regards,
