Demo example not correct formatting numerics

Hello, there is an example of input text boxes that can format numerics  to fixed decimals or currency etc...however I notice on the demo site that the formatting is not correct, when I enter 1.89 the value is reformatted to 1.890000000001.  THis does not seem right

It does the same thing here even when I set the 'general setting' to 2 decimal places.
