Is there anyway to load the rest of the page before loading a radgrid. I have a grid that loads pretty slow and there is not anyway to really optimize it any more. So i would like to be able to load the page and then have the radgrid load. That way users don't have a blank page with an hourglass while the grid is loading.

You can use the approach from this help article and namely have the Grid initially hidden and show/bind it after a certain amount of time with ajax request.
