I have a business case in which i need to show custom vertical menu in fieldeditors.
ex: http://www.javascriptkit.com/script/script2/verticalmenu.shtml
The menu might go to n number of levels. The above example only has 2 levels.
And the item that user selects from the menu, will have date, numeric or plain text filelds for data entry.
Can this be done using telerik RadFilter?

In case you are using RadGrid, you can make avail of the Header Context Filter Menu:
http://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/grid/examples/generalfeatures/headercontextfiltermenu/defaultcs.aspx
Or create your custom filter menu using RadMenu:
http://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/menu/examples/overview/defaultcs.aspx
