First a suggestion for Control Panel - it might be a good idea to create a forum for it. It's not a product, but could require support, and it's difficult to know which forum messages might be posted in to research issues...

So I'm having a couple issues with Telerik Control Panel I'd like to get help with:

  1. I have a license for the DevCraft Complete suite, which includes the Kendo line of products. However, since I downloaded the trial versions before licensing was worked out, I assume, the trial version are still showing in my control panel (see attached image). So I keep getting reminders to renew my license, even though I HAVE, and the Kendo products show both as PURCHASED, and as TRIAL. So how do I remove the trial ones? It doesn't look like it's possible to do it in the control panel, but I'm hoping it is possible somewhere??
  2. Also, it would be nice to be able to enable reminders for updates to licensed products, but not for subscription renewals, or even trial renewals. It's annoying to get reminders for trials I have no intention of purchasing, but I do want reminders to update existing products I have already purchased...

Hope that makes sense.

Thanks!
Eddie

Hello Eddie,

I am sorry for the inconvenience.

Unfortunately you cannot avoid trial versions being shown in our Control Panel - it is limitation on our side.
Currently our expiration reminders appear 60 days before and 60 days after every purchased product license expiration date (expiration reminders regard purchased products only). I've just looked in your products and it seems that the reminder you get is for your KENDO DataViz Commercial which expired on 30-Dec-2012.

Thank you for the feedback. I have logged your ideas (for improving the notifications and the Control Panel forum) in our product backlog.

Please do not hesitate to contact us again for further assistance.

Regards,

Just as an aside to this, I have a couple of complimentary Dataviz licenses which I don't care about as I have Devcraft Complete licences now.  Even though I have turned off reminders on the website  (http://www.telerik.com/account/renewals-upgrades.aspx) I'm still getting pop-up prompts from the installed Telerik Control Panel.

Hopefully these will stop once the deadlines have passed, but surely the Control Panel should take the reminder active/inactive settings into account when nagging you.

Hi Nick,

Yes, the remainders for licenses will stop once the deadlines have passed. Meanwhile you can manage the Control Panel notifications from the options menu (see the screenshots).

Hi Vesko, thanks for the reply.

The point I was really trying to make was the control panel is ignoring the notification settings from the website.

Turning off all notifications in the control panel is of no use as I still want to receive them for the Devcraft Complete licenses.

Perhaps you can feed this back to the control panel dev team.

Cheers,
Nick

I though I'd give you a nagging reminder about this as I just got a nagging reminder from your control panel  :D

Hello Nick,

We are sorry for the inconvenience.

We have no improvements in our Control Panel notifications, yet. Expect them in one of our next official releases.

I'm getting these notifications too. There needs to be a checkbox somewhere for "Do not notify me of license expiration warnings"  or "do not notify me of product updates" or a toggle I can un-check for "display pop up messages".

I went ahead and uninstalled the control panel for the time being.

I don't want to renew my subscription and I keep getting a pop-up message reminder on my Visio Studio. So upsetting!
