I read the tutorials... I watched the Video... I still do not know how to add a checkbox and a button to the RadScheduler advanced form.  Not one of those resources tells you where to put a modified AdvancedFormVB.ascx file.  If I do manage to modify it, where does it go? I get it from the samples folder, surely it doesn't stay there.  The video is so confusing -- it's all over the place; it's 1/3 through already when it finally gets to the subject of modifying the advanced form and from there it just gets worse.  The download files are useless because there is no instruction.

Hello Richard,

You can download a working sample from the code library here. I hope this helps.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you but that doesn't help; its not a tutorial from start to finish and so leaves a bunch to guess.
I have found the files to use in the samples folder on my hard drive but I have no idea where to put them in the DotNetNuke site I'm building this module for.  This is not a trivial task and just to give a sample project that works does not teach someone how to do it.

Here is my scenario.  I have a table called Tasks and I want the user to check a 'completed' check box on the advanced form; I also want the user to be able to click a button to launch a separate edit screen I've done that loads the whole record with a list of related records; my form is working fine but I can't figure out how to modify the advanced form for the checkbox and button and how to handle the button click.

Yes, that's the first place I looked.
However it is not step by step.  It's working with a Telerik sample project.
It doesn't say what to do with the modified files, where they go or how to do it in your own project.

Hi Richard,

The idea is to start with a set of predefined user controls so that you don't have to recreate the whole functionality from scratch. The user controls can be found in the folder of your local installation of Telerik.Web.UI suite -> Live Demos\Scheduler\Examples\AdvancedFormTemplate.

If you use these user controls, the advanced template will look exactly like the default advanced form, but you will be able to edit the user controls as per your need.

All the best,
Peter
