Hi. I am very much looking forward to Promethius.

We have invested significant time and resources into the RadGrid. We have wrapped it up and provided abstraction into the grid so that it can interact with our ORM at the very highest of levels.

Our clients and my developers are very happy people because we are all expereinced in the pain that grids can generate.

My concern is how backwarderly compatible will the Promethius grid be?  At this stage should we be budgetting on a significant re-write of our abstraction layer or possibly only a tweak or two here and there?

Regards
Dave A

Hi David Apelt,

As a respectable company as we consider to be, we will always do our best to avoid any breaking changes and keep backwards compatibility. To be honest we are not fully aware what exact changes will be implemented for the Prometheus RadGrid, as it will be migrated for Q3 this year and at this time we have not researched if there will be any potential problems, but we certainly hope that there will not be many issues. You can rest assured that we are going to very carefully plan the migration of our flagship control, to avoid any unnecessary client hassle.

Sincerely yours,
Steve
