Is it possible to modify the location of the ColorPicker palette pop-up? By default is expandes directly below the color picker icon. For example, can it be modified to display the pallette above the color picker icon?

Hello Gene Grant,

Thank you for your request. However, at this point this is not possible to achieve with RadColorPicker control. We are interested though what you try to achieve by displaying the palette at a different location. Your scenario may assist us in determining whether to include this feature in our TODO list. Looking forward to your answer.

I am attempting to use the ColorPicker within a RadWindow. The color picker icon is located near the bottom right of the the RadWindow. When the pallette pops up, it decreases the column number and increases the number of rows to fit within the available space of the RadWindow.

For example:

Instead of having-
[][][][][][][][][]
[][][][][][][][][]
[][][][][][][][][]

it displays as -
[][][]
[][][]
[][][]
[][][]
[][][]
[][][]
[][][]
[][][]
[][][]

If I could adust the location of the color palette pop-up, I could prevent this from happening by having it display far enough above and to the left to allow for size of the color palette.

Hi Gene Grant,

We could not reproduce the behavior you are describing. Can you please open a support ticket and attach the sample pages with Window and ColorPicker that you are using.

Hello.

I'm trying to achieve the same. Basically my colour picker icons are towards the bottom of my page, so there's a lot more free space above rather than below. I know you've done this before with your DatePicker control.

Thanks,
Paul

Hi Paul French,
I understand the result that you wish to achieve. However, for the time being, this is not possible. We have placed on our TODO list the task to improve the edge detection when you are opening the palette of the RadColorPicker - for the time being, the palette takes into account the left, top and right boundaries of the window and repositions itself according to them. What is left to do is implement the bottom edge detection.

I believe this feature would give you the desired result.

Best wishes,
