Can't select combobox items

Hi All,

I have a radgrid with a drop down list implemented using a gridtemplatecolumn as described here:
http://www.telerik.com/help/aspnet-ajax/grdoperationswithdropdownlistinedititemtemplate.html

The grid is in a user control that is loaded in a multipage tab that has ajax enabled.  The grid uses in place editing.  When I try to select an item in the DDL I see the ajax loading image and I can't select anything in the list.  I can edit other column types without any problem.

Any ideas on solving this would be greatly appreciated.

I scrapped the grid idea and went to a simple edit form due to time constraints so I don't need additional help at this time so this post can be closed.
