To reproduce:
1. browse to http://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/grid/examples/clientbinding/defaultcs.aspx
2. in the second grid (bound to Data Service), filter by two or more columns
The count (number of records) does not update when filtering by more than one column.

Indeed you are right about this behavior. However I am glad to inform you that this issue has been already addressed by our developers and fix will be available in one of the next internal builds.
