Hello All,

I have implemented a radgrid programmatically.
This means that the control itslef is present on the page, but I build the Grid reports dynamically in the code behind.
I've also implemented an ability to drill down on  specific report row data, by adding imagecolumn and linking it to a javascript that calls another report with parameters.
Now I want my users to have the ability to go back to the previous report (pre drill down) by clicking the browser back button. As my report utilize Ajax, this is not straightforward.
I'm trying to understand how to use the UpdateHistroy NikHill control recommended by Telerik, but with out luck. The example provided with this control is very simple and not resembling my situation.
Can anyone help with this matter?

Regards,
Tzach

Hello Nikolay,

Thank you for your answer,

Unfortunatly your proposed solution requires at least .NET 3.5 SP1, which is still not common practice in large organizations.
Any other idea?

Tzach.

Hello Tusk,

Generally RadAjax as build on top of MS ASP.NET AJAX framework does not support history out of the box. However any approach that works with regular UpdatePanel should work with RadAjax.

For your convenience I am sending you sample application that demonstrates how you can use this approach with RadAjax.

All the best,

Hello Nikolay,

Thank you for the prompt response.
I've already seen an example very similar to that. My RadGrid is dynamically built and is very complex. Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't seem to understand what I need to do to save a state in the browser history for such a complex element , as oppsoe to just saving Label text.

Maybe an example for something similar to my RadGrid would shed some light.
Regards,
Tzach.
