Hello monalisa,

You can handle the DayRender server-side event of RadCalendar and assign the desired events to its dates. Find more information on RadCalendar DayRender event here.

Give it a try and let me know if you need further directions.

Hi monalisa,

You can use different colors for the different type of dates. Another option is to use DayTemplates fo your purpose.
An online demo illustrating how RadCalendar DayTemplates work is available here.

Hello monalisa,

You can try handling the SelectionChanged server-side event of RadCalendar to perform there the database updates.
However, I suggest that you check out our RadScheduler control which might be more suitable for your scenario.

I hope this helps.
