Hello Chris,

I suppose that you have in mind one of the attachments in the following blog post by Kevin Babcock:

http://blogs.telerik.com/kevinbabcock/posts/09-03-09/replay_client-side_tips_amp_tricks_of_the_radcontrols_for_asp_net_ajax.aspx

http://blogs.telerik.com/kevinbabcock/posts/09-02-09/radtips_episode_13_using_declarative_client-side_databinding_in_the_radgrid_for_asp_net_ajax_part_1.aspx

http://blogs.telerik.com/kevinbabcock/posts/09-02-10/radtips_episode_14_using_declarative_client-side_databinding_in_the_radgrid_for_asp_net_ajax_part_2.aspx

I tested them locally and the archives seems to be fine. Can you please download and unzip them again to see whether everything is OK? Let us know how it goes.

Best regards,

Sebastian,

I was referring to this article:

http://blogs.telerik.com/blogs/08-08-07/best_practices_client-side_databinding_with_the_radgrid_for_asp_net_ajax.aspx

The source zip files are corrupt on that page.  Anyway you can post them?

Thanks

Hello Chris Messineo,

The sample codes for that blog post are indeed inaccessible. We have written to Kevin with a request to send us these code samples, and as soon as we get a response from him we will update the blog post, and write to you when the samples are available.

Please excuse us for the inconvenience caused.

Sincerely yours,

Any word on this from Kevin?  Basically I'd like to do client side binding, but want to load the initial page data via the server, so I only make one call to the server on initial page load.  I'm not sure how to suppress the client data load when I load the initial page via the server.

Hi Chris Messineo,

Unfortunately, we still haven't heard from Kevin. We will definitely contact you as soon as we get the samples.

As to your question, please submit another ticket with that question so that the proper RadControls team could get it and send you a reply.

Sincerely yours,

Hi Chris Messineo,

I'm glad to hear you were able to solve the problem. Once again, thank you for reporting the problem with the code samples so that we could address it.

And again, we will contact you as soon as we get the samples, just in case they may still prove useful to you even though you figured out how to recreate the functionality.

Greetings,
Sonya
