Is it possible to use the GridAttachmentColumn of the RadGrid inside an update panel? I would like to upload the attachments without doing a full postback. If not, do you have any suggestions of doing this with your available components?

It is possible, however, when downloading the attached files you need to temporarily disable ajax due to limitations in the XmlHttpRequest object. More information you can find at the following online example, its description and related help topics.
