At design time, when RadGrid is in source view, properties are not shown in properties window.
Only when we switch to the Design view and press F4 (to view Properties Window) or right click on the control to View Propeties, the Properties window appears with a list of properties and events.
Thereafter things work fine even on switching to code view.
Is it a bug? Why dont i see the Properties in the Properties Window when i am in the source view for the first time. Why do i need to switch to design view to view the list of properties.
Kindly suggest.

I can replicate the exact behavior that you see when using the current 2011.3.1115.40 build in Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate. The same behavior also occurs when using the previous release of 2011.2.915.40 in the same environment. If it's crucial to you, you may want to raise the issue with Telerik.

The issue is already addressed and you should be able to find the fix in the upcoming Q3 2011 SP release, due for the first week of January 2012.

Hello Tarun,
The issue was addressed before I wrote my previous message, just as mentioned there. Furthermore, the fix was available in Q3 2011 SP1 released in the beginning of January as promised.
You just need to download the latest official version and upgrade your project.
