I am presently using the Q! 2009 version of the Rad controls.
I have used the export to excel feature in my screen throught a link button on my screen.
when i export the file on button click the following set of actions are seen on the client side.

A standard IE file download pop up appears which asks whether file should be opened or saved.
      If i say save it works fine.

  If I say Open it gives the standard Microsoft Office Excel 2003 warning(Which is fine) saying the file you are trying to open, Default.aspx(Which is my page name and not the filename as specified in the previous pop up or my code) you are trying to open is in a different format than specified by the file extension.Verify that the file is not corrupted and is from a trusted source before opening the file.do you want to open the file now?  


If i say yes it opens in excel with default.aspx.
 If I say no again I get another excel 2003 warning saying you are trying to open <The_Actual_File_Name>, is in a different format than specified by the file extension.Verify that the file is not corrupted and is from a trusted source before opening the file.do you want to open the file now?
If I say yes it opens the file but if I say no again I once again get a File download warning with the options of Save and cancel.

What I want the Export to Excel to do is present the option of open /save once as before and on clicking open It should open the file in Excel 2003(Even if it gives the excel warning its fine as long as it is only once with the right name)

How can we go about this?

Hi,

my grid - not ajaxified - stays in edit mode after inserting.

No exceptions are thrown.

The updatecommand does literally the same, except for getting the edited row, and the grid reverts back to display mode.

Any suggestions are welcome

Using the Day view of the RADScheduler I would liketo customize the in-line edit window. I would like to add the End-Time optionin the window itself without going to the ‘Option’ button. I would also like tocollect the appointment details from the server on the Appointment Insert Event.

Hi,

Iam trying to create a custom pop-up window (Rad pop-up) for the scheduler. I amable to open my custom pop-up window from the client side using “OnClienAppointmentClick”and “OnClientTimeSlotClick”. I am also setting the properties for AllowInsertand AllowEdit as False done to avoid the default insert and edit pop-ups.

Iwould like to make this pop-window available from the server side instead ofthe client. I notice that the event onappointmentclickallows me to call the server for the pop-up window but this is available onlyif the AllowInsert and/or AllowEdit properties are set to True.

I would really like to have only my custom pop-up windowavailable from the serverside instead of the default one.

I have a RadCalendar that posts to a page after a date is choosen.  If I click 'back' in my browser, then click the calendar icon to choose another date, the wrong month & day numbers are shown - it's a month ahead.

I have constructed a custom skin for a slider which is working fine. My new slider handle is 7 pixels wide which make for a tidy but obvious handle on the slider.
My problem is that I have set my application up so that there is a button that is disabled until the user has interacted with the slider. When the page with the slider on it opens the slider is already set to a value and the user may actually want to keep that value. However there is not a server-side onClick event as far as I can tell only a onValueChanged event. So even if the user clicks on the slider where the handle is, it does not register as the user having interacted with the slider.

Is it possible to have a 7 pixel wide handle but an 'active' area on the handle that is only 1 pixel wide?
Or
How do I get to have a server-side Slider onClick event?

Hopefully that all makes sense.

I'm holding a session with a DataKeyValue (myValue) from clicking a row in a RadGrid (Grid1).
How can I myValue to open another grid (Grid2) (on another page) in editmode (AllowMultiRowEdit=false) where the DataKeyValue of Grid2 == myValue?

how do i customize empty timeslots in timeline view?
I tried using TimeSlotCreated, but that also fires for timeslots that have apointments,
I tried putting the following in,

       if(e.TimeSlot.Appointments.Count ==0)
        {
            e.TimeSlot.Control.Controls.Add(new LiteralControl("test"));
        }
but this doesnt work for appointments that span more than one timeslot.
I am trying to simply have something like "click here to add" as a mask text for empty slots for users to know that they should click the timeslot in order to be able to register a appointment.

Another question is, is there a way to prevent certain appointments from being moved ?
I guess I can use custom attributes and combination of different events on client side to achieve this, but maybe there is simple way of just something on appointmentdatabound that certain appointments shoudlnt be moveable.
