Invisible -Add new record -CommandItemDisplay = GridCommandItemDisplay.None- Not working

Hi,

I have to make Add New Record command item to be invisible on a user login , where as for admin login it will be visible.
So i have a method where based on user login i am making

RgdDomainDetail.MasterTableView.CommandItemDisplay =

GridCommandItemDisplay.None;
and for admin login

RgdDomainDetail.MasterTableView.CommandItemDisplay =

GridCommandItemDisplay.Top;

But still i am able to see the add new record command item bar when the user is logged in.

Could you please suggest how to make it invisible .

Sequence of Grid Event Handlers in case Filtering

Hi,

Can anyone explain me the sequence of events occurs when we filter the grid?

I am not sure that what i need really possible, basically need something before the response go the server. and need it on the server side not the client-side handler.

Resetting toolbar button state

We use radeditor at many places on the same page and what we notice is that the toolbar button state is getting saved every time when we close the editor.

In other words, if I click on OK or Cancel button to close the editor, opening the editor again makes the same toolbar button highlighted.

Can you please let me know how I can disable this behavior?

Close causes page to stop responding

I have a button that opens a radwindow. The button more or less just tests the user input of a url in a RadWindow.
Below is the code that is called when the button is clicked. My issue is when the user closes that small RadWindow the page itself stops responding, you can click buttons and such but have no cursor and I can see the page thinking type icon at the top spinning and spinning and just doesn't stop. What is wrong? Why is the page having to think when the window is closed?

P tag Problem

When I enter text and apply H1 formatting, the P tag is often wrapped around the text. Anyway to avoid this?

HierarchyLoadMode="ServerOnDemand" is working good except the first time expanding of any of the detailTables

Although this property is set to HierarchyLoadMode="ServerOnDemand" it behaves like some mixed mode.

Actually, everything is work just as should be work by documentation, but when I expand for the first time any of child levels, grid tries to Bind all the child tables.

I have considered this in SqlProfiler, when you expand some level but only for the very first time, you can see database calls for every parent row.

If it can help you in answering my problem I have used SessionDataSource.

RadGrid in radwindow

Hi ,

I am using a radgrid in a radwindow,i am populating the grid dynamically code given below.

Now i want to select a grid row and pass some values in the rows to the parent page as i am using radwindow.
Radwindow is containing for E.g. SaveParameters.aspx page
Now when i click on grid row i want to pass a value in the row to parent page i.e MyReports.aspx
Only Select Column is in MasterTableView as this

RadAjaxManager - RadAjaxLoadingPanel no works :(

Hello All,

I'm relatevely new to these suite of controls which are pretty cool.currently I'm facing a problem

I have a page that works normally however I just try to add a loading message everytime a code behind action is done, but now it is not fired :( .. I may not configure it well.

RadTreeNodeCollection

I have a navigational RadTreeView which is built based on various DB calls for each branch, and was thinking it would be ideal if I could build them once, and then stick RadTree.Nodes into a cache object, which I can later re-use without needing to hit the database again.

Unfortunately RadTree.Nodes is Get only, and doesn't allow me to write the cached NodeCollection back to the Tree on the next load.

Is there any way to do something like this?
