Hi,

I'm using a grid with auto-generated columns.  Datasource is assigned to the grid at run time (assigned a datatable).

I'm using scroll wth frozen columns:

There is a large number of columns, i.e. 100+ (a lot of data).   I also assigned column width in code at ColumnCreated time.

The grid displays perfectly.  It displays about 26 columns at any given time with first 7 frozen. So, when the grid first displays, one can see columns 1 through 7 (frozen) and 8 through 25  When I click to the right of the scrollbar, I expect to see columns 1 through 7 (frozen) and 26 through 43.  Instead, the grid would display 1 through 7 and 35 through 52, essentially skipping some columns.  Not good from a user's standpoint.

What would account for this odd behavior?  Would hidden columns cause this?  I appreciate any advise.

Hi,
  I have a radgrid on my aspx page. I am navigating thru my custom page. I ahve to get the correct page index to pass it to my database based on which the data i get to be bind.

I am currently using RadGrid1.CurrentPageIndex for knowing the Index where I am.

But actually during my testing i found it is wrong.

What is variable or field name do i need to check to get the correct Page Index to bind my custom page to.

       I am using Telerik 2009.2.826.35  ajax controls .
       Unfortunately, whenever I try to set the controls to be updated by the ajaxmanagerproxy everything
       is messed on the screen, as you can see below. I am use a Page Control.
       Does anyone know why this should be happening?
       I tried many variations of the controls configuration without success. I also looked at samples, but
       none of them has something compared to my configuration .

Hi,

I have a radgrid with detail table and i would like to disable certain rows but keep the expand button enabled.
In the grid prerender event i have this code :

But this doesn't enable the expandbutton, so i think setting the item to disabled will always force the expand button to be disabled as well.
I could set the font settings so the row would look disabled but then i wouldn't be able to check if it is enabled in client-side code, i need to do that to determine if a contextmenu may be shown or not.

Is there some other way i can achieve this?

I have a RadGrid posted with data by use of GridBoundColumns. These columns/cells is given a fixed width and itemstyle-wrap set to false. This cause that full text in some cells isn't shown fully, and therefore I want to have a tooltip at each cell, showing the full content. I don't have the tooltip possibility at the GridBoundColumn, and cannot figure out how to do it afterwards by either OnItemCreated or OnDataBound?!

Can anyone tell me how to do?! :o)

I have a RadGrid, with

When a row pass in edit mode for "update" all works fine. Click on update fires  "oGrid_UpdateCommand", click on cancel fires"oGrid_CancelCommand".

When I use "add a new user", a new row appears, but no more insertCommand and CancelCommand fire ? (the postback is perfomed, I stop in Page_load function but the "ogrid_InsertCommand" is not called.

The trys I have made :
    - comment ajax, the same problem occurs
    - try to set AllowAutomaticDeletes/Inserts/Updates to false : the problem still persists.
   - try to trace Params["__eventargstarget"], it is empty when insert is fired.

An idea ?

Hi,

I tried to set the selected Date on a timepicker for getting min_date to work.

The control updates the current time - but not the current Date. This way the correctly set minDate work.

Example:
selectedDate= Sat Sep 19 2009 19:17:00 GMT+0200
minDate=Wed Sep 16 2009 00:00:00 GMT+0200

Setting selectedDate toWed Sep 16 2009 10:00:00 GMT+0200 will change the selectedDate to:
Sat Sep 19 2009 10:00:00 GMT+0200 and not to th above value.

Do you have any ideas on what goes wrong?

I am opening a new RadWindow from code behind adding it to the collection and that works fine.  The problem is when the window gets added to the collection all the other RadWindows that are currently open close.  Do you have any suggestions?

Regarding the XMLHttpPanel, I have a couple of questions.

• Is the return data as small as say a json string would be or is the return package in fact json?
• I see examples that talk to .asmx files (web services) but will it talk to a .svc file (wcf service)?
• Once the data is retrieved, how does the data need to be packaged and returned?  Does it just go into a dictionary<obj, obj> or what? Or, can I just serialize my data into json myself and just return a json string?
