I've been trying to get the FileExplorer to read an FTP path, but I'm getting the following error: is not a valid path. The string looks something like this: ftp://number.number.number.number:port

EDIT: my ASP.NET AJAX version is 2009.1 ...after some tests I saw that this problem appears only in IE8... and then I found this thread ...it explains that is a IE8 bug and there isn't workaround and to solve it we need to update the ASP.NET AJAX RadControls.
...I downloaded the trial version of 2009.2, for a rapid check of this solution, and now it works!

I hope this help! ;-)

Hi all,

I found a big problem... in few words if I have a RadComboCox in RadWindow... when I try to use the RadComboBox with the mouse, if there are a component in main page and in the same position of RadComboBox then the RadWindows acts as if it were not modal!

I made a simple test project... I can't attach it then follow the code of the 2 simple pages (Defaut.aspx and PopUp.aspx)

This is a Screenshot of the problem.

NOTE: the issue appears only interact with the RadComboBox on RadWindow... to reproduce this issue you need to positionate the RadWindow in mean that the inside RadComboBox is over a component of the main page (as in the screenshot).

Hello,

I am using RadWindow to display a form which updates itself using Ajax, thereby changing its dimensions. To accommodate for this, I have created a small client script which - on each Ajax response - sets the width and height of the RadWindow equal to the width and height of the table I use to layout the form. The script follows here:

function resizeWindow()
  var table = $get('layoutTable');
  oWindow.set_width(table.offsetWidth);
  oWindow.set_height(table.offsetHeight);

Now, the problem is that the set_width and set_height methods sets the width and height of the whole RadWindow, and not the client area. I therefore has to add the width and height of the window borders and title bar, respectively. This means my code now depends on the current skin, which isn't something I want. Is there any way I can easily retrieve the dimensions of the window borders, or set the dimensions of the client area directly?

Thanks a lot!

Hi, I have a RadTreeView defined in my page and I am adding controls to it (Nodes and controls under the node such as checkboxes and radio buttons) in my page load handler. The page comes up and looks fine. After an Ajax update, all the controls under the nodes are gone. The nodes I added are still there and there are even lines going to where the controls used to be, but the Tree is a mere skeleton of what it once was.

Do I have to rebuild the tree on every Ajax update?
Thanks,
Brian

I'd like to create a vertical menu with text rotated 90 degrees counter-clockwise.  Is there a way to do this?

Essentially, what I'm trying to do is create an expandable menu that can collapse into a vertical tab like the toolbox in visual studio (with text rotated to save horizontal space).

I have a situation where I need to create both dynamic layout and dynamic positioning with RadDockZones.
All the example I have seen are using RadDockZones created in design-time. I have managed to create RadDockZones in run-time but have problem to positioning them correctly. I want to be able to arrange them like the cells in the below example. But how can I do that with dynamically created RadDockZones which are handled the same as normally divs I guess.
        <table border='1' width='100%'>
            <tr>
                <td width='50%'>

I can manage it if I create the layout in design-time if I put a RadDockZone in each cell.

Hope anyone can help.

I have two calendars next to each other.
<telerik:RadCalendar ID="RadCalendar1" runat="server" AutoPostBack="true" MultiViewColumns="2"
        MultiViewRows="1" EnableMultiSelect="false" OnPreRender="RadCalendar1_PreRender">
    </telerik:RadCalendar>
The Height and Width attributes of the Calendar control do not work.

We need to find out how to control the size( Width and Height) of the control. I cannot reduce the width and height of the calendars.

Also how can we remove the  month headers right above the calendars.I want to keep the common header though.
Thanks
Anil

Hello,

We had some issue when using the Media Manager in the RadEditor for MOSS (full-featured) to add a video to a WebPart page. The Windows Media Player’s window displays but the video doesn’t play (we have IE7 and WMP10).

We find that modifying a little bit the generated HTML makes it finally works.

Here is the original generated HTML code:

<object type="application/x-oleobject" height="150" width="150" classid="clsid:6BF52A52-394A-11D3-B153-00C04F79FAA6">

<param name="FileName" value="/Test_RENAULT/Videos/RadNavigation.avi"/>

<embed src="/Test_RENAULT/Videos/RadNavigation.avi" width="150" height="150" type="application/x-mplayer2" pluginspage="http://www.microsoft.com/Windows/MediaPlayer"></embed>

</object>

The changes concern the “object” tag.

If we remove it (we keep only the “embed” tag), it works fine.

We can also keep it but then we have to change two of its attributes:

- Removing the “classid” attribute makes it work but it is very long.

- To make it faster we change the value of the “type” attribute, from “application/x-oleobject” to “"application/x- mplayer2" (like in the “embed” tag).

With this second method it works fine too.

As these changes are manual, we would like to know how we can have an automatic solution.

Thanks

Jeff

I think RadEditor has problem with safari browser at MAC after install MOSS SP2 to sharepoint.  (RadEditorMOSS_4_5_2)

RadEditor is activated.

Enter new item – results are inconsistent. Sometime it gets saved. Sometime item is not getting saved. After I click Save button, page refreshes and all text is gone.  .

I'm attempting to use the tri-state checkboxes with the TreeView. I'm able to populate the TreeView easily enough, but I can't seem to get the checked items out. Here's the code:

<

telerik:RadTreeView ID="RadTreeView1" runat="server" CheckBoxes="True" TriStateCheckBoxes="True" CheckChildNodes="True" DataTextField="name">

</telerik:RadTreeView>

<asp:Button ID="expertiseFilterButton" runat="server" Text="Filter Faculty" OnClick="expertiseFilterButton_Click" />

<asp:Literal ID="Literal1" runat="server"></asp:Literal>

-----------------------

protected

void expertiseFilterButton_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)

{

string message = "";

IList<RadTreeNode> nodeCollection = RadTreeView1.GetAllNodes();

foreach (RadTreeNode node in nodeCollection)

{

message += node.FullPath +

" - " + node.Checked.ToString() + "<br />";

}

Literal1.Text = message;

}

-----------------------
No matter which or how many items I check, the node.Checked keeps coming back as False. Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?
