I have a grid based on a pivot table returned from SQL server, using the tsql pivot function. The pivot returns null values in some cases. Ideally, I would address null values in the pivot function, but have not figured that out yet.

This caused two issues in the grid.

1) Calculated column for totals on the right of the grid. Since Null + Anything = Null, any null value produces. I found that using IsNull in the expression for the calculation works, so I am ok on that one.

2) Footer agregates - same issue, but I cannot use IsNull in the dataformatstring. So Agregate sums for footers are not working properly.

Also, the zero's just look better, as opposed to an empty cell.

So the question is, what is the best/easiest approach for converting null values in grid items to zeros? Can it be done declaritively, or must it be done in code behind, i.e., in the ItemCreated event?

gridtemplatecolumn and GroupByExpression

Hello,

I need to format the group header text of a gridtemplatecolumn. Currently, I change the formatstring in the GroupsChanging event. Do you plan to add the possibility of using the FormatString directly in the GroupByExpression?

Radgrid export to excel

Hi,

Is there any way to format the headers and columns in the excel spreadsheet which contains dates like Jun 09,July 09 and so on in page but while exporting it shows 9-jun,9-july and so on in excel spreadsheet.The key thing is that headers and datas are dynamicially generated.Could any one help regarding this issue.

Restrict users to enter text in RadDropdown when on demand is implemented

Hi,

Following is my code for ondemand drop down implementation. This implementation allowing user to enter text in combobox. My requirement is user should not allow to enter text.

RadProggressArea TransferSpeed

I'm working with RadProgressArea in my project and how can I configure to show and get the upload transfer speed in RadProgressArea. I've already configured the property ProgressIndicators="TransferSpeed" but during the upload process no value is showed.

How to disable editing

Hi,

I am trying to disable the editing on the grid and wondering the best way around this. I want the user to be able to navigate the grid using the arrow keys but when pressing enter I effetively want that to fire the rowselect event and no show this edit screen (screen shot for clarity)

We have come across the following article http://www.telerik.com/help/aspnet-ajax/grdcancelenterarrowkeypress.html is this the best way to do this or is there a "AllowEdits='false'" setting or something?

Windows 7, RadControls Source Code Solution - GAC not found references

I am trying to do the source build and am having project reference problems that seem to DLLs in the GAC.
I have Windows 7 and VS Studio 2008 SP1
Under the different project references, the following were not found and appear to be in the GAC

System.Core
System.Data.DataSetExtensions
System.Data.Linq
System.Runtime.Serialization
System.ServiceModel.Web
System.Web.Extensions
System.Xml.Linq

When I find these in the GAC, they are grayed out and I cannot select them.

Looking for how to fix this.

AutocompleteExtender. Sys.InvalidOperationException: Handler was not added through the Sys.UI.DomEvent.addHandler method

Hello,

I have just started with teleriks. I am using the RadControls_for_ASP.NET_AJAX_2008_3_1314_trial. I am also working with VS2005 and .NET2.0

I have a normal Texbox with one AutoCompleteExtender and it works fine when the page is first loaded. But afterwards every time the page makes a postback or i close the browser, I get the next message:

"Microsoft JScript runtime error: Sys.InvalidOperationException: Handler was not added through the Sys.UI.DomEvent.addHandler method"

the structure of the web site is like this:
Masterpage:
   scriptmanager
   Telerik Ajaxmanager
   RadFromDecorator
   RadMenu
   RadCombox
   Texbox and AutoCompleteExtender.
   Contents..
In the AjaxManager i make no reference to the texbox or to the autoCompleteExtender.

If i delete the AutoCompleteExtender everything works. It is there any example of this ajax tool with master-pages and Ajaxmanager?

Property builder issue with RadGrid

Hi. We're experiencing a strange problem with the property builder in RadGrid. When you try to add a boundcolumn for example in the property builder, it shows up in the property builder and in the design view. But when you look in the code behind the column is not there! And of course doesn't render on the webpage either. This is only happening on one develoeprs PC. We're using RadControls_for_ASP.NET_AJAX_2009_2_826_dev. We'd like to stick with this version as when we moved to new versions in the past it tends to break things. Thanks.
