Hi All,

Should be an easy one, is there any way to press a button in html mode which applies some sensible code formatting / indenting like vs or dreamweaver? The editor speel mentions it does something like this but cant find it and would be VERY helpful.

Populating hierarchical RadGrid with dropdownlists

I'm currently populating a hierarchical radgrid with two SqlDataSources (one for my MasterTableView and the other for my
DetailsView). I have the values of my DataKeyNames MasterKeyFIeld, DataKeyFiled all matching. Initially the page works as
expected. In addition, I have a few dropdownlists on the page that I would like to re-arrange the data on my grid by soon after
the user clicks a button. Once the user chooses the desired options from the dropdownlists and clicks the button, through codebehind
I'm changing the SelectCommand of the sqlDataSource and doing a RadGrid1.DataBind() on both DataSources.
my code in my vb page looks something like this:

SqlDataSource1.SelectCommand = "Command"
RadGrid1.DataBind()
SqlDataSource2.SelectCommand = "Command"
RadGrid1.DataBind()

After the button click, The MasterTableView applies the new SqldataSource that I set in codebehind(SqlDataSource1), however, my DetailsView still contains the information from my initial SqlDataSource2 Select Statement. I need that Data to be populated as well.
Any help/suggestions i would really appreciate, thank you

How can I specify a CSS class for a grid hyperlink column

Hi,

I have seen some examples about changing the look of a link column by using CSS selectors. However, we have a grid that will be used on different pages for different data.
We need to be able to set a CSS class on the column the same way it can be set for the Grid itself or the Header and Footer.

I cannot see a CssClass property on GridHyperlinkColumn. Is there any other way of specifying the CSS class for the column?

RadPane display login when session expires

I have a website you have to login to use. Using a RadSplitter and RadPane. The RadPanes have aspx pages inside of them.

If the users session expires and the PadPanes display the login page inside of it. The preferred way would be the parent page to display the login page, instead of each page within the RadPane displaying it.

Is there anyway to handle this easy? The only solution I know right now is to have the login page check if it has a parent page, if it does it knows it is running within a RadPane, therefore call a javascript funtion on the Parent to have it change to the login page.

Any other options?

ToolTipManager on DockCustomCommand

I'm creating docks dynamically, and would like to use a dynamically-loaded popup (a configuration panel, basically) to respond to client clicks on a particular custom command button on each dock.

I've seen articles on how to use the OnClientCommand feature to trigger a ToolTip from a command icon, but I'd like to make use of the _AjaxUpdate event handler that the ToolTipManager offers. I haven't been able to find a combination of control configurations that results in a tooltip popup, triggered by a dock command icon click, that triggers the _AjaxUpdate event handler so I can dynamically populate the tooltip.

Is there a way to do this? Thanks in advance!

[Solved] RadComboBox help

I have a RadCombo box that I am using like the Google Style type ahead and everything is working good. Now this is what I am trying to acomplish. I only want the OnSelectedIndexChanged event to fire if an item is selected from the dropdown, It dosent matter if it is client or server side. Is there any way to acomplish this?

Content and Text properties not updated on postback

Banging my head here!

For testing purposes I load the content of a RadTextBox and a RadEditor with some sample text on load. Then, on postback I can get the data from the RadTextbox just fine, but, the data from the RadEditor is exactly the same from what was loaded! It's like nothing is being posted back for me to get the values from. Has anyone seen this before?

In my page on postback I can do txtBody.text and see my new changed values, but, RadEdit01.Content nothing has changed, even though I typed in different text.

Nothing fancy is going on, but I am working within master pages. Not sure why that would cause any issues. Nothing is inside a content area for Ajax calls. I can't figure this one out!
