Hi,

I have been using the GridCheckBoxColumn in the Grid. I do need to invoke a checkbox clicked event when the checkbox is checked or unchecked. Based on the event, the reason for selection(next column) is to be populated or cleared. I am not using the radgrid_itembound method as I am using a customized grid of RadGrid which doesn't give this method exposed. Please suggest on the checkbox click event.

Need to change text direction of RadEditor from server side

Dear All
I need to change text direction of RadEditor from server side on the basis of application language. I mean "rtl" and ltr". I have tried with the following but unable to see any difference. Can you guide me in this regard.

if (Page.IsPostBack == false)

RadData.Attributes.Add("dir", Activity.getLanguageDirection());

}

I have also tried by adding this attribute to full page which is transformed to rtl/ltl but no effect on RADEditor..

Any suggestions??

[Solved] How to Align Centre the Toolbar Contents

Good Day All

i have a Toolbar button that has a textbox and image buttons, now my problem is that the controls inside the toolbar are not aligned correctly. i would like to have them centered. I have attached the image on how they look and the markup to the definition is

where are the events?

hello

I needed some custom filter controls. So I created my own column-class:

public class GridColBound : GridBoundColumn

and created my own filter-control:

Everything worked as expected, but: No more events are thrown. No ItemCommand, no RadToolBar1_ButtonClick.

What can I do?

ExtractValues not matching up with the columns of an auto-generated edit form.

Hi all,

I have a rad grid, that is automatically generated because it must be dynamic. When editting items in the grid I use AutoGenerate='true' because the grid never has the same dataset twice.

When using .ExtractValues, the values are not matching up with the grid.

As an example, my datagrid has 3 columns. ID, A and B.

ID get's set to read only when the form is in edit mode so as to not confuse users. We then have A and B, correctly displayed in the correct order.

But when .ExtractValues pulls out the values, the values for column B go in with Key A and vice-versa.

Any ideas?

TabStrip Performance

I want to have 5-6 tabs each Multipage would have a RadGrid or RadListView on it (amound other things)

Is there a way to set it up so only the active tab is rendering\bloating the viewstate :)

...in my case a user might not even click to any other tabs ever so I don't want any extra bloat coming down

Or is this how it works now?

RadComboBox problem IE using 300+ mb ram

Hello, i currently have a form and part of the form includes a RadComboBox that is populated by a big list (over 1k items). The problem is that when i try to use the combo box it spikes the cpu and ram usage (300-600mb) and it freezes the browser. This happens everything i try to use the combobox. I've tried IE, Chrome and Firefox; they all have the same problem but IE has more notable memory usage.

Any ideas?

[Solved] blockConfirm on RadMenuItemClicking event

I am using a context menu and when a user clicks on a certain menuitem I want a confirm dialog to appear asking whether or not it should proceed with the onclick event. If the user wants to proceed, then the onclick event is triggered, if the user does not, then nothing happens and the confirm dialog just closes. I have tried this using the blockConfirm as shown:

I am pretty sure the problem is with the eventArgs variable that I am sending the blockConfirm. I have the blockConfirm working on a different part of my project when triggered from an ImageButton and that call is:

When I try using the variable "event" with the onclientclicking I get an error saying it does not exist. So what do I need to do to make this work with a RadMenuItem?

[Solved] Cast exception when trying to populate DatePicker when adding new record

Hi all,

I am using the below code to populate a DateInput when the user edits a record in a RadGrid so the Edit form is pre-populated with correct data. All is well until I try to Add a new record, because the ExpireDate variable is now NULL.

The Exception is:

An exception of type 'System.InvalidCastException' occurred in App_Web_xngshb9r.dll but was not handled in user code

Additional information: Specified cast is not valid.

And the code block (client-side):

RadConfirm RadWindow totally from server side

Hi all,

I have found many posts about RadConfirms but none seem to fit what I need. I've read the post here:

Along with others.

I have RadConfirm windows tied into my RadGrids and would like to display RadConfirms, completely from the server side, similar to those fired off from the RadGrid.

I can display a confirm box from firing it off of another control like:

But I would rather be able to do it similar to a .Show() method from Forms controls.

But that doesn't allow for changing the title or text, nor do I need the extra function for determing the callback value.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
