[Solved] Any more Skins planed for editor?

Hi,

Any there  any more skins planned for release in the next service pack or quarterly release for the Prometheus editor? I currently use the Office2007 skin with the original RadEditor and don't plan to switch over until a comparable skin is released for the Prometheus version.

And just to clarify - is the spellchecker in the Q2 (11/07/07) release complete?

Hello Chris,

With RadEditor Prometheus we ship a skin that is much alike the Office2007 skin - it is the Vista one, and it, actually a modified version of Office2007 looks, according to the changes that Microsoft themselves made during the development of Vista.

We plan to release a complete and standalone version of RadSpell "Prometheus" in the upcoming Q3 of RadControls "Prometheus". The release is expected in mid December 2007.

Yes, the Vista skin does look 'similar', but it does not have the same look as the Office2007 skin and unfortunately my whole web app is themed to look just like Office 2007. The vista skin doesn't blend in nearly as well as the original office2007 skin.

It would be nice if Telerik would carry over 'legacy' RadEditor skins so that those customers (like myself) that already have an established look in our applications can maintain that look without having to take the time to create a custom skin.

Hi Chris,

One of the ideas behind the Prometheus controls is to provide them with uniform set of skins, equal for all controls. At this point, the Office 2007 skin is not included in this list but we will consider adding it in one of the future updates.

We also need the Office2007 skin for the Editor control.

We have been using the Office2007 skin for all controls in our application. Today, just when we needed to use the Editor control for the first time, I discovered that the Office2007 skin doesn't exist for it.

This is VERY frustrating. Whatever skins you decide to ship with the controls, each should be available for ALL of them.
