Hello Jagannathan,

Thanks for the question and your trial of WebUI Test Studio QA edition. Please check out this video on pop ups and dialogs. Though it was recorded over a previous version of WebUI Dev edition, the way WebUI handles these types of scenarios is the mostly same.

Handling full popup or modal browser instances should be the same as the video. WebUI will prompt you to automate popups in a dialog like you described in your last post and should be similar to the video.

If you have problems connecting to the browser popup during test execution, please try removing any query strings for the PopupUrl Property and setting the IsUrlPartial Property to true in the Properties Window (please see attached screenshot).

For dialogs like Alert, Confirmation, and File Upload/Download, WebUI should automatically record what you record over the, but you can change any of the Dialog Handler test step properties in the Properties Window.

Let us know if you have further questions on this.

Quick Edit: After reading my reply, I forgot to ask if you were asking for support of Silverlight 3 child or popup windows. If this is the case, please check out this blog on the subject for the latest WebAii and WebUI versions.

All the best,
