Hi,
Is there a way to display an 'all day' row in the timeline view, similar to week view. Our timeline view is showing a day per column and we like the use of the all day row to place notes relevant for the whole days, on the top. Do you have other suggestions for displaying multi-day notes?
Thanks,
Wen

Hi Wen,
You could use resources. The first resource could be Notes and the second one - Appointments. This way your scheduler will look similar to the attached screenshot.
Let us know if this is something which you could use and if you need further help with this approach.

Hi Peter,
Thanks for the great suggestion, I can definitely use this. Is there a way to vary one resource's row-height to be different than the others? I would want the row for notes to be smaller than the appointments.
Thanks,
Wen

Hello Wen,
There isn't a way to control the height just for a particular resource row.

Hi Peter,
We're also noticing a strange rendering result of a all day event in a week versus timeline view. Our timeline shows 7 days, running vertically. If an event has startTime = '4/22/2009 12:00:00am', endTime='4/23/2009 12:00:00am' we mean for this to be an all day event on 4/22/2009. This appears as expected on a week view with the appointment in the all day slot of 4/22/2009. However for the timeline view this appointment graphically spans across 4/22-4/23, an undesired behavior.
Thanks,
Wen

Even though this is a very old thread, I thought I'd post the solution I found for attempting to display an "all day event" using 12:00:00 AM. This wasn't working for me either until I specified the time zone settings on the scheduler. After doing that, I didn't get overlapping appointments any more.
<telerik:RadScheduler ID="RadScheduler1" runat="server" TimeZoneID="Central Standard Time" TimeZoneOffset="-05:00:00">
