If by refreshing the master-page you mean going through the page life cycle for it - I am afraid this is not possible - .NET Framework's design. If by refreshing you mean - ajax update, then ajaxify only the controls within the content page and leave those in the master page out of the ajaxification.

I like have only radmenu in the masterpage,by ajaxifying master page i mean on clicking radmenuItem i donot want the whole page to get refreshed ,is there a way to ajaxify the mastr page on clickin gthe radmenu item
