I've added a simple combobox in a MasterPage that has a AJAX Web Form inside.  The error I'm getting is:

'~/Telerik.Web.UI.WebResource.axd' is missing in web.config. RadScriptManager requires a HttpHandler registration in web.config. Please, use the control Smart Tag to add the handler automatically, or see the help for more information: Controls > RadScriptManager

I've added an httpHandler in my web.config under system.web settings (Windows 2003 server).  Ideally this will be moved to the machine.config once I see it working.

What else can I check?

Hello Bob,

You need to add the handler to the httphandlers section in web.config file like this:

<httpHandlers>
   <remove path="*.asmx" verb="*" />
   <add path="*.asmx" verb="*" type="System.Web.Script.Services.ScriptHandlerFactory, System.Web.Extensions, Version=1.0.61025.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35"
    validate="false" />
   <add path="*_AppService.axd" verb="*" type="System.Web.Script.Services.ScriptHandlerFactory, System.Web.Extensions, Version=1.0.61025.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35"
    validate="false" />
   <add path="ScriptResource.axd" verb="GET,HEAD" type="System.Web.Handlers.ScriptResourceHandler, System.Web.Extensions, Version=1.0.61025.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35"
    validate="false" />
   <add path="Telerik.Web.UI.WebResource.axd" verb="*" type="Telerik.Web.UI.WebResource, Telerik.Web.UI, Version=2008.1.515.20, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=121fae78165ba3d4"
    validate="false" />
</httpHandlers>

An easier way to add this automatically would be to use the smart tag of the control (see attached screenshot).

Sincerely yours,
Steve

Thanks, I was registering using the SmartControl but for some reason had to do it twice in a row for it to 'take'.  Thanks again.
