Adding Text to Radtextbox

I have a radtextbox that Im using as a log/console display. Using javascript, how do I add additional text to the text box?

Try adding the text as shown below.
JS:

var txt = $find("<%=RadTextBox1.ClientID %>");
var t = txt.set_value("text"+ txt.get_value());
