Actually i m using an older version(2008) of Telerik DLL. and that is not supporting "FilterTemplate". Any alternative to achieve the functionality?

Hello Gowtham,
Try upgrading to the latest version in which FilterTemplate is supported. Check the following KB article which explains how to upgrade to the latest version.
