Using RadSlideView for Windows Phone to Load Items on Demand

Download the demo project Download the Q1 2012 BETA   RadSlideView is one of the major and widely used controls in our RadControls for Windows Phone tools. For the Q1 2012 BETA release we completely revamped its architecture and API design to meet all the feedback and feature requests we gathered from our users. Instead of inheriting from RadLoopingList, the control now inherits from the abstract DataControlBase class and exposes properties and methods similar to the ones found in our RadDataBoundListBox. We believe this approach will have better adoption and will be more intuitive to you – our users. This re-design allowed us to improve performance...

Horizontal Scrolling in RadDataBoundListBox now available

RadDataBoundListBox has been continuously developed and extended with new features like Item Animations, CheckBoxes support, Data Virtualization support etc. We have also fine-tuned its performance so that it perfectly fits in an environment of limited memory and CPU resources what a mobile phone is. A nice example is available in our Demos app...

Introducing Rate Application Reminder for Windows Phone

As part of the Telerik “Q1.2012 Beta” WindowsPhone package we released a set of building blocks components. You can find more info on the idea of building blocks for Windows Phone here. Overview As we are discussing in our “Promote your Windows Phone App on a Shoestring” whitepaper, the number of ratings plays a big role in the algorithm that the marketplace uses to rank the different apps. Our experience shows that if the users are reminded to do something, chances are that their response rate will be higher than if they are not reminded. With RadRateApplicationReminder you can configure your application to display...
