What's New R1 2019

New PDFViewer Control

The new PDFViewer control coming to Telerik UI for Xamarin in R1 2019 enables the end user to view PDF documents straight from within their mobile app without having to download or switch to a third-party software. The control offers support for various PDF document elements, such as images, shapes, colors, bullets and more, as well as offering a fluent and intuitive user experience through single page and continuous scrolling, various navigation commands and a built-in toolbar.

As of R1 2019, you can now use the new Popup control to display popup notification and alerts in the mobile application, thus providing the user with specific content, ask for permissions, display alerts and/or error messages and more. You can easily set the pop ups to be either modal or not, as well as position them at a position of your choice, while also adding sleek open/close animations for a great UX.

Appointments UI to the Calendar

This release marks a great milestone for the Calendar control, as it offers a powerful appointments UI to enable the end user of your application to add, edit and delete appointments from an intuitive user interface. In addition, we’ve also included the functionality for recurring appointments.

New DockLayout Control

Dock child elements of the application to a certain position on the screen and easily organize the layout of your Xamarin mobile app with the DockLayout control. In addition to the various available docking positions, the control offers an adaptive docking mechanism to prevent from having any blank spaces on the screen.

Header and Footer Templates in ListView

With the new header and footer templates coming to the ListView component in Telerik UI for Xamarin R1 2019 release, you can easily add content of your choice above and below the items in the control.

AutoCompleteView is now Official

We are glad to announce that the AutoCompleteView control made available in R3 2018 is now official, bringing three new suggest modes (Suggest, Append & SuggestAppend), as well as a new DisplayTextFormater allowing customization of the displayed text and new Token and SugestionView templates enabling token and suggestion view customization.

Localization & Globalization Support

With this release, we are also bringing Localization and Globalization to a all controls in the Telerik UI for Xamarin suite, which enable you to both translate the control strings to a specific language as well as set the numbers formatting (numbers, decimals, currency, etc) and date and time formatting depending on the country of origin of your application’s users.
