Welcome to 2020! As our teams are gearing up to deliver new tools for speeding up your development, we’d like to thank all of you who provided valuable input in our yearly survey. Sharing your feedback helps tremendously in ensuring we invest our efforts and resources into building the right solutions for your development needs.
Here’s what you can expect in 2020 and early 2021!
Telerik UI for Xamarin will introduce a powerful combobox control that will support the functionality of picking items from a list. The control will be equipped with various features, including autocompletedrop-down list of suggested items, filtering, single and multiple selection, as well as editable and non-editable mode. This control and its features are ideal for any mobile application scenario that requires selecting from a list items.
Recently we released a new feature for Telerik UI for Xamarin Calendar control – the ability to add new appointments via a floating action button (FAB). We will expand on this feature by exposing capabilities to style the edit the appointment UI to your needs.
We will bring more of the Telerik UI for Xamarin controls for developers tinkering with the latest Microsoft innovation - Mobile Blazor Bindings. Stay tuned as we are expanding our controls suite to meet your Blazor mobile development aspirations!
We plan on introducing RichTextBox control that will support working with rich text content.
The PdfViewer for Xamarin will be equipped with a search option which will significantly improve your users’ mobile experience with PDF documents.
As of now, the Telerik UI for Xamarin Picker controls – DatePicker, TimePicker, DateTimePicker, TimeSpanPicker and TemplatedPicker are available in a pop-up mode. Following all these picker controls will be available in the following new display modes:
Each mode will have a corresponding DisplaySettings - InlineDisplaySettings, PopupDisplaySettings, etc. Stay tuned, more flexibility to our Picker components is on its way!
We also plan to will bring even more functionalities for the Telerik UI for Xamarin DataGrid, namely support for aggregate functions which will allow you to display aggregated information for the data in a given column. Functions will include things like average of the values in a column, number of items, minimum and maximum values and many more. Stay tuned!
The Badge control will allow visualizations of different notifications such as unread emails, notifications or statuses in your Xamarin.Forms application. Attach the badge to any control or item easily and customize it to your needs to provide outstanding user experience.
The range selection control is designed to enable the easy navigation and time range selection. Allow your users to easily navigate the viewed data in a Chart control, select date/time range or to filter our any data bound control by filtering its data source.
