Telerik UI for ASP.NET Core
With this release we added additional support for the v4 edition of the OData protocol. With R2 2018 we officially support hierarchical data through OData.
With the R2 2018 we have taken steps to enable ASP.NET Core developers to add cognitive features to their applications by adding a brand new component: the Conversational UI control (aka RadChat). This new control is intended to be used with various chat bot services. Highlights of the features include:
With the R2 2018 release we have delivered the top-most voted feedback item to our list of UI components: the DropDownTree.
This provides the best of the TreeView component (e.g. the hierarchical data representation) with the compactness of a DropDown for ASP.NET Core.
SignalR is a library that we've had support for close since its inception. Recently SignalR was updated to add support for ASP.NET Core applications with the upcoming 2.1 release. While we're currently supporting 2.1.0-preview2-final with this release we updated our support for SignalR to ensure that we are ready to provide all ASP.NET apps to work with this library along with our UI components.
Tag Helpers were a big part of our last release of Telerik UI for ASP.NET Core, especially the Tag Helper for the Grid component. To continue with that trend, the R2 2018 release ships with support for Tag Helpers for all of our UI components.
