When I set the Enabled property of the Menu Items to "false" they become gray. I would like to set some different colors and font of the disabled items. How can I customize this state of the items?

Hi!

I have just tried putting a couple of check boxes into a windows program and they seem to work just fine. That is until I try to put them into production. I moved the application over to our production server and then it no longer works. I am wondering if there is something else that I need to deploy along with the application similar to how the web applications have to have the radcontrols folder?

Thanks for any help you can give me,

Hello,

I am using themes with the shell form and the ribbon control and they seem to be working fine. But when I add the docking manager and dock panels, I notice that they have no theme or style properties. If I set them transparent, the assume the form colors but when they float they assume the standard windows colors. Is there a way around this?

Thanks!!

Hello,

I am working with the current build of the Windows Controls and running into a small issue with the dock control that I am hoping I can get some help with.

When I unpin one of the tool windows and pin it back it comes back slightly smaller each time.
Before Screen Shot
After Screen Shot

Currently I have the following properties that I was hoping would correct this problem but they do not seem to help:
PreferredDockSize: 330, 610
AutoSize: True *
AutoSizeMode: GrowOnly *

*Tried with this both on and off.

I also looked for an event that fired when the tool window was pinned or unpinned couldnt find one (any help here) where maybe I could attempt to set the size with code.

Thanks in advance.

Update:
I noticed it actually does the same thing at design time.  If you set the DockState: AutoHide then set it back to DockState: Docked it causes it to get smaller, since you cannot set the Size property with the Property Window you then have to go back into the advanced layout manager and try and eyeball it back to the previous size.

The new architecture of the dock control is completely different from the CTP, but the documentation is very poor, not what I am used to from you guys.
How do you use the UserDockControl, and how is the docking manager supposed to work at design time.

The new windows controls look to have great promise but I am struggling to find information on how they are supposed to work.

What would really be good, for all of your controls, is a movie (walk-through) that shows a developer using each control.  From design to configuration and integration in a simple application.  Sometimes it tough to get started, for example with the Dock functionality where do you start?  There are several controls that appear to be involved with the Dock functionality.

After some trial and error and in the product description it looks like you start with a Docking Manager, but that is not intuitive and the help not being complete (I hope) it makes developers getting used to the control waste several hours trying to figure it out.

I like the examples, but there is no way to see how you got there, so including a movie that shows "HOW" the examples were created would be extraordinary.

Thanks for the windows controls, nice to finally get controls that make an application look current and like I said earlier they look very promising!

I am attempting to add a radribbonbarbuttongroup to my ribbonbar and I am not seeing it listed in the toolbox.  I have created a toolbox tab and dragged the Telerik.WinControls.UI.dll to it.  I am able to see the RadRibbonBar in the toolbox but no buttongroup.  I have also verified that I am able to see the buttongroup in code.  I could manually add the element via code but, that would defeat the purpose of having the toolbox and a visual IDE.  Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I am attempting to customize the ribbonbar StartButtonImage.  I am able to adjust the property so that the correct image shows in the design but when executing the application, the telerik logo show instead of the image in designer.  I assume I should be able to change this as there is a property for it... Am I overlooking something simple..

Thank you in advance...

  • Unique architecture, which follows WPF (Avalon) best practices
  • Separated logic from presentation - enables designers to freely customize the UI
  • Dynamic CSS-like styling and centralized Themes mechanism for complete control over UI elements
  • Unlimited nesting of UI elements with automatic inheritance of parent properties and behaviors
  • Property animation effects through Styles/Themes

Controls included:

  • RibbonBar
  • Docking controls and containers
  • ToolStrip
  • MenuStrip
  • StatusStrip (EDIT: As of June 2007 this control is still not available in the WinForms suite)

a panel bar would be a nice addition to the winform controls. a panelbar with similar functionality as the outlook 2003 panel bar that has the icons down at the bottom when the panel is resized using the handy resize bar on the top of the upper most hidden panel item.
