I am really excited to read that it made the cut in this release! Nice going!
Is there somewhere I can read about how to configure/enable it?

Thank you for the good words!

In order to take advantage of the new storage mechanism, please go through the REST Service storage help article. The storage object should be provided in the override of the CreateStorage method.

Any feedback on the subject is welcome.
