Hi,

I am trying to convert an application that uses Crystal reports to use Telerik reporting

The issue I have is this... In my Crystal Report I have a cross tab that has months as columns and items as rows so I can see the value for each item month by month. There are also total columns and rows so I can see the total for each month as well as the total for each item. The cross tab is sorted so that the items with the highest total is at the top This is all fine and I have got this working in Terlerik reporting.

However, although this is fine if I want to show all items, what I actually want to show is the Top 5 items and everything else bundled into a 6th Item labelled "Other". I can do this in Crystal by using the "Cross-Tab Top N and Sort Expert", but how do I do this in Telerik?

Many thanks in advance

Regards

Hello Huw,

Your question has already been answered in the other thread you've opened and we suggest to keep the discussion there. Here is our answer:

"First we need to clarify that your scenario is not entirely clear and we require additional information what you're aiming for. Please provide us with a screenshot showing the desired result and explanation what should the bundled "other" group show/do. Does it drill-down to the other items?
Anyway you can add a filter to the group using the built-in Top N filter operator to limit the number of shown groups to 5. However there is no out of the box way to create a 6th group "Other" and the information we requested above would help us grasp your goal and advise you accordingly."

All the best,

Where is this other thread?  I can't seem to find it.  I am trying to set a top N filter to a cross tab as well.

Hi Eric,

The other thread mentioned in my colleagues post is private support ticket. The general information from the ticket is posted in this thread as well. You can use filtering on any data item or created group.
