Hi,

The code on that address

http://www.telerik.com/support/kb/aspnet-ajax/editor/different-set-of-tools-when-switching-to-full-screen-mode.aspx

doesn't work for ie11 anymore. I used that code almost in every page on my project and when we test it on ie11 we cannot use neither any functionality of editor, also we cannot type anything on design mode when we open the page. Evetything works well with chrome and firefox but not with ie anymore :(

what should we change in that code, in order to make it work in ie also?

Thanks...

EDIT: I just tried changing user agent string in ie11's emulation settings to chrome and firefox. All the errors are gone. When I close developer tools (f12) or change user agent string to ie11 again, editor is no longer accepting scripts, buttons not working and can't type anything in design mode.

The problem is urgent! I hope someone can take a look at that one and provide a solution...

Hi İlter,

I assume that the problem is related to an incompatibility of the IE11 and the toolbar rendering. You can try resolving this issue by additionally invoke the onParendNodeChanged() method of the second editor to reinitialize the control:
function OnClientCommandExecuting1(editor, args) {
    var commandName = args.get_commandName();
    if (commandName == "ToggleScreenMode") {
        div1.style.display = "none";
        div2.style.display = "";
        toHide = false;
        editor2.onParentNodeChanged();
        editor2.fire("ToggleScreenMode");
        content = editor1.get_html(true);
        editor2.set_html(content);
        args.set_cancel(true);

    }
}

Also you can try adding a meta tag to force the IE10 compatibility of the browser:
<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=10">

Thank you very much for your answer.

I tried that addition, and fullscreen toggle button is now working on fullscreen mode. But, there is still one problem.
When I first click on toggle fullscreen button and toggle to fullscreen, it's ok. Then I click it again to hide the fullscreen editor and show back the original one, that's ok too. When I repeat the proccess, fullscreen mode is not fullscreen anymore, as if when I click the fullscreen button on the small editor, it toggles the big ones' fullscreen mode over and over, so, the big editor shows fullscreen on the first time, and half sized the on the second time I am clicking on the toggle button.

Anyways to override that behaviour? I looked for a solution to get editor fullscreen toggle status, but didn't get much luck on this one.

Thanks!

Hello İlter,

You can check if the editor is set to full screen or not via the isFullScreen() method:
editor2.isFullScreen()

I cannot reproduce the problem on my end and I can only try to make assumptions why it is encountered. Could you please try isolating the issue in a simple project and provide it, so that I could further investigate this matter. Also it would be helpful if you could provide more details about:
  • Are there any JS errors thrown in the console?
  • What is the used RadControls version?

On a side note, did you try the second possible approach, with the meta tag? Does it work for your case?

Hi,

The second approach is causing me more headaches then I already have. I am using a design template which is created by twitter bootstrap and all the add & edit buttons are located in bootstrap modals, along with radeditors. But I don't see if this is the case, because I tried all these in a brand new project with no script and css implementations, just the radeditor configuration and the js codes which are used in my project. I am zipping and sending you that one immediately, I guess that would help you figure out the issue.

Also, when will you be providing full IE11 support for radeditor aproximately? There quite some issues people are having with radeditor when using on IE11.

I just send you a general feedback with ticket id 771789. I forgot to mention that I am not getting any js errors, and using the latest 2013 Q3 version (2013.3.1114.45) of rad contols on the project. The problem is more logical then a coding error.

Thanks...
