I want to try out the new VS 2010 SP1 update from Microsoft in Virtual PC environment, so it doesn't disrupt my main dev environment...

When trying to install Telerik Reporting, when I click next after accepting the license agreement, a popup appears wanting me to wait while the installer finishes determining my disk space requirements.   The only button on the dialog is "Return".  Pressing that puts me back on the "End-User License Agreement" page.  In any event, I can't get beyond this, to actually do the installation.

The same popup happens in ASPNet AJAX & Asp.Net MVC, however, when I press return they begins the installation.

Please help.

Thanks,

Hello Daniel,

We don't support beta versions of Visual Studio. As with every MS product/technology we're working with, official support would be announced soon after MS launches the product as final version (RTM i.e. not in beta anymore). This is duly noted in our System Requirements page.

So this is because of the SP1 upgrade?

Hello Daniel,

We cannot confirm whether the SP1 Beta is the reason, but it is highly possible. We're using Virtual PC in our daily work, so it is certainly not the fact that you're installing on virtual machine that causes the problem. You did not say what happens if you do not press the Return button and wait for the disk space determination to finish?

Kind regards,
Steve

In case anyone else has the same problem.

I tried this and it worked for me. I ran the following in command prompt
msiexec /package "E:\Temp\Telerik Reporting\2011 Q3\Telerik_Reporting_Q3_2011_v5_3_11_1116_Dev.msi"
