Select range in chart

Hi Telerik team,

Does WPF Telerik Chart control support range selection? If yes then could you please attach the example?
I need to add chart control to view where user can select some range.

Hello Iurii,

ChartView doesn't support range selection out of the box. But you can see our SDK example TimeBarOverChartView which demonstrates one possible approach for implementing a mixed functionality between TimeBar and ChartView (including range selection).

Another possibility is to use Sparkline inside the TimeBar as in the picture you sent (you can see a sample implementation in RadTimeBarOverview exampe). Please have in mind that the Sparkline is comparable to the chartview in some ways but in order to maximize performance there are some limitations and 
spark lines do not utilize this many visual indicators, as well as x or y axis or multiple axes. So, it depends on your scenario which control would be more suitable.

Hello Milena,

Thank you for the solution. It works.

I have one more question. 
I am trying to use RadCartesianChart with few lines. I displayed the lines on RadCartesianChart and added RadLegend to display line names. But the color is the same for each lines.

So my question is How can I add unique color for every line? Or How can I add title for every line (like attached NamedLines.jpg) with some set of colors (can be repeated)?

I'm glad that the suggested approach works for you. 

As for the legend - I've already answered to your question in this forum post.
